Atomic Addons for Elementor abilities, governed through the Bridge

An agent can read and build Elementor page layouts (sections, columns, widgets), create, list, update, publish, and delete Elementor pages, manage which Atomic Addons widgets and extensions are switched on, read the site's design tokens, clear caches, and read or update the third-party API keys the widgets use.

What has to be true first

Needs WordPress 6.9 or newer for the core Abilities API, the Atomic Addons for Elementor plugin active with Elementor installed, and the plugin's own AI MCP toggle switched on. Read abilities mostly check manage_options (a few builder and page-listing ones check edit_posts), and every write or destructive ability additionally needs the plugin's own "allow changes" setting turned on.

  • The plugin's AI MCP master switch (atomel_ai_settings.enable_abilities) must be turned on in Atomic Addons > AI; it is off by default
  • Non-read-only abilities only register when the owner also enables the plugin's own "allow changes" setting; with it off, only the readonly abilities register
  • Any ability the owner has individually disabled in that same settings screen is skipped

How to switch these on

Four steps from two active plugins to a governed connection.

  1. Install Atomic Addons for Elementor and Agent Abilities for MCP

Both plugins need to be active on the same WordPress site. Atomic Addons for Elementor registers its own abilities; this plugin discovers and governs them.

  2. Open the Other plugins screen

In Agent Abilities for MCP, open the Bridge tab (labeled "Other plugins" in the admin). Abilities from every registered plugin appear there, grouped by the plugin that registered them.

  3. Enable one ability at a time

Every ability from Atomic Addons for Elementor starts off. Turn on only the ones you want an agent to reach, or enable the whole set in one click.

  4. Connect as a least-privilege user

Approve the connection as a WordPress account scoped to what you actually want the agent to do. Each call still re-checks that account’s capability before it runs.

Frequently asked questions

Does Atomic Addons for Elementor work with the Bridge?

Conditionally. It registers 31 abilities in the core Abilities API under the atomic-elements namespace, but only once the site owner turns on the plugin's own AI MCP master switch, and write abilities only register on top of that if the owner also allows changes.

What has to be true for Atomic Addons for Elementor's abilities to register?

The plugin's AI MCP master switch (atomel_ai_settings.enable_abilities) must be turned on in Atomic Addons > AI; it is off by default. Non-read-only abilities only register when the owner also enables the plugin's own "allow changes" setting; with it off, only the readonly abilities register. Any ability the owner has individually disabled in that same settings screen is skipped.

Does Atomic Addons for Elementor need anything special to work with the Bridge?

Needs WordPress 6.9 or newer for the core Abilities API, the Atomic Addons for Elementor plugin active with Elementor installed, and the plugin's own AI MCP toggle switched on. Read abilities mostly check manage_options (a few builder and page-listing ones check edit_posts), and every write or destructive ability additionally needs the plugin's own "allow changes" setting turned on.

An agent can read and edit the structure of Elementor-built pages, list and inspect widget and component schemas, manage the site's shared global CSS classes and design-token variables, build whole page layouts from a composition description, and publish or preview documents.

Once enabled, an agent can read and manage HFE header/footer/block templates and Elementor pages end to end: list, create, update, duplicate, delete and restore templates and pages, build and edit Elementor layouts widget by widget, toggle widgets and extensions, set display rules and theme compatibility, read the site's design tokens, and clear the Elementor CSS cache.
