What has to be true first

This plugin needs to be installed and active alongside WooCommerce, on WordPress 6.9 or later. All four abilities check manage_options, so only an administrator-level connected user can call them, and the three best-fit fee abilities additionally require the plugin's own best-fit feature to be unlocked.

  • The three best-fit abilities (scan preview, suggest fees, create drafts) only register when wcpfc_is_bestfit_wp_supported() is true, i.e. WordPress 7.0 or later; count-published-products has no such requirement
  • WooCommerce must be active for the best-fit and product-count abilities to return real data (they return a WP_Error otherwise)
  • the three best-fit abilities additionally require wcpfc_can_use_best_fit() to return true at call time, which gates a paid Pro license

How to switch these on

Four steps from two active plugins to a governed connection.

  1. Install Extra Fees for WooCommerce and Agent Abilities for MCP

Both plugins need to be active on the same WordPress site. Extra Fees for WooCommerce registers its own abilities; this plugin discovers and governs them.

  2. Open the Other plugins screen

In Agent Abilities for MCP, open the Bridge tab (labeled "Other plugins" in the admin). Abilities from every registered plugin appear there, grouped by the plugin that registered them.

  3. Enable one ability at a time

Every ability from Extra Fees for WooCommerce starts off. Turn on only the ones you want an agent to reach, or enable the whole set in one click.

  4. Connect as a least-privilege user

Approve the connection as a WordPress account scoped to what you actually want the agent to do. Each call still re-checks that account’s capability before it runs.

Frequently asked questions

Does Extra Fees for WooCommerce work with the Bridge?

Conditionally. One ability (count-published-products) registers unconditionally and is bridgeable as-is, but the three best-fit fee abilities only register their permission check as passing when a separate wcpfc_can_use_best_fit() license gate returns true, so those three are bridgeable only on qualifying installs.

What has to be true for Extra Fees for WooCommerce's abilities to register?

The three best-fit abilities (scan preview, suggest fees, create drafts) only register when wcpfc_is_bestfit_wp_supported() is true, i.e. WordPress 7.0 or later; count-published-products has no such requirement. WooCommerce must be active for the best-fit and product-count abilities to return real data (they return a WP_Error otherwise). the three best-fit abilities additionally require wcpfc_can_use_best_fit() to return true at call time, which gates a paid Pro license.

Does Extra Fees for WooCommerce need anything special to work with the Bridge?

This plugin needs to be installed and active alongside WooCommerce, on WordPress 6.9 or later. All four abilities check manage_options, so only an administrator-level connected user can call them, and the three best-fit fee abilities additionally require the plugin's own best-fit feature to be unlocked.
